This summer, I was the lead on a project to get the younger demographic registered to vote. I led my team towards creating multiple resources for others to access to help others help us on our goal. Things like social media campaigns, texting campaigns, and how to reach organizations can all be found in our "Tool Box". This toolbox is used as a resource for the Big 10 in their Voter Registration Campaign as well.

This document highlights a project that my team worked on to highlight the many ways that student voters are suppressed - especially athletes. Most athletes of a university are out of state students and thus will be voting at their universities. These demands safeguards all ways that students' vote may be suppressed as well as solutions to combat these issues. Particularly focusing on residency requirements, ID requirements, and aiding in the process for both absentee ballots and early voting.

It includes components of education through history through video, readings and podcasts, places to donate, petitions to sign, how to contact current officials as well as tips to educate others on how to be an ally as well. A blog will also be utilized to discuss issues at hand in open forum. To reiterate, the website has not been published yet but will be soon, but feel free to ask me about it!

Voter registration and getting people to the polls is extremely important in 2020. The reason this took prevalence in my position was because this information was created to be distributed to athletes at Monumental Sports & Entertainment. This project consists of information on ballots, positions to vote for, and how to find the information that pertains to you based on where you live.

While I am unable to share this project due to confidentiality of the information, I am more than happy to discuss it. This project consisted of creating a profile for individual athletes on the Washington Wizards and the Washington Mystics roster. They were created to share with the athletes in order to provide the information necessary so that they would be able to vote. It included dates and deadlines based on their address, who would be on their ballot this election, what positions were open and much more. Please contact me in order to discuss this project further!
